Ohlhorst Lightweight Building Solutions MODULAR Frame System combines lightweight materials and the modular building method. Modular building makes use of prefabricated sections that are manufactured offsite and then transported to the construction site for assembly.

Because MODULAR frames are built offsite, the system offers numerous benefits when compared to traditional on-site construction.

Features

• Suitable for buildings with multiple repeated units

• Size of units is limited by transport (3.4m x 8m is typical)

• Open sided units can be created

• Modules are stacked with usually no independent structure

• Self-weight of 1.5 to 2 kN/m2

• 3 to 10 storeys

• Fire resistance of 30 to 60 to 120 minutes provided

• Acoustic insulation is provided through double layer walls and
floors. To International Hotel Chain requirements.

• Shorter construction schedules and rapid installation on site

• Greater degree of predictability cost

• Reduced material waste

• Economy of scale through repetitive manufacture

• Consistent quality units and high level of quality control in factory
   production

• Reduced carbon emissions

• Low self-weight leading to foundation savings

• Excellent acoustic insulation due to double wall layer
   construction

• Adaptable for future extensions, and ability to be dismantled
  easily and moved if required

• Robustness can be achieved by attaching the units together at

careers

Be so good that they can't ignore you

(Steve Martin)

Since the inception of Tiber’s Bursary programme in 2012, many disadvantaged students were provided with an opportunity to start building a successful career path within Tiber Construction. Tiber’s approach to its bursary programme has changed over the years, resulting in a focus on providing a thriving environment with adequate support for graduates to grow within their Construction career paths.

Tiber Bursary Scheme

The Tiber Construction bursary scheme provides financial support to qualifying candidates who wish to study full time in the field of construction. Funding support is provided for  tuition, residence and book fees.

Our bursary programme currently supports students in their studies in the fields of Civil Engineering and BSC Construction. Our students attend a minimum of 6 weeks vac/practical work experience per annum before being inducted into the working world of Building & Construction.

Since the inception of our bursary scheme, We've had a few students who have qualified in their respective fields of study, and are now employed full-time by the company.
